Comedian David Brenner, a frequent on Johnny Carson's "Tonight Show," has died after the battle with cancer malignancy, a family spokesman explained Saturday. He has been 78.
Brenner has been a staple about Carson's late-night show, appearing more times than another guest -- 158, in line with a bio upon his official site.
Before engaging in comedy, Brenner helped write, produce and also direct 115 Television documentaries, earning him just about 30 awards.
