Nashville Vocalist Makes 'The Voice' Top Ten

Southern rocker Craig Wayne Boyd may be the last Nashvillian standing on this year of NBC's "The Voice. "

On Tuesday, the singing levels of competition narrowed its contestants right down to the Top 10, and Boyd — exactly who tackled George Strait's "You Look So Good in Love" this particular week — created the cut.

Boyd is usually a member of coach Blake Shelton's group, as was Belmont student Jessie Pitts, who had been eliminated on Tuesday. Before her quit, Pitts, Boyd and teammate Reagan James took that stage with Shelton for you to sing Elton John's "Sad Songs. "

Meanwhile, the show's producers are actually searching for talent for the next season — and obviously one clueless representative reached out to star of Americana Jason Isbell. On Wed, the Nashville-area resident tweeted a part of a "real email" he received from the talent producer for that show, asking if he'd choose to audition. Isbell's doing just fine by himself: last month, he sold-out three straight nights in the Ryman Auditorium.

In the follow-up tweet, Isbell "accepted this offer.

"My audition upon "The Voice" will be a solo vocal and also French horn rendition of "Oh Comely" simply by Neutral Milk Hotel, " he published. "I will use a #bikini. "
