Valerie Harper has exciting news to talk about.
This former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant has gained ground in her struggle with brain cancer.
"I'm absolutely cancer free! " the lady told Closer magazine. My last scans happen to be positive, and my doctors are very much happy.
Last March, the 74-year-old Harper, was diagnosed with an inoperable human brain tumor. At the time, doctors told the woman she could have a few more months to reside. However, the few weeks ago, her professional medical team was astounded by her test out results.
"[The oncologist] checked the scans and said, ‘Oh my God, Valerie, this is very much encouraging! '" she stated. "I’m now the poster baby for not believing every thing I’m informed. "
Though Harper stated that her doctor will never use the period "remission" — "He likes to say that, 'I provide you with a treatment, and it’s possibly responsive or nonresponsive — and also you are having the phenomenal response, '" she stated — she observed that she feels numerous better. She's also lowering her visits on the doctor to just once every 8 weeks, and she's getting a "pulse dose" involving medication once weekly.
There may come a period of time when I'm certainly not feeling good, she said. But then again, that period may never come.
